Karate Kid: Legends

Mr. Han is the revered shifu and master of a large kung fu school in Beijing, China. He teaches the ancient ways of kung fu to many young students, establishing a significant influence in their lives.

Li Fong is a quiet teenager living in the wuguan while trying to hide from his mother, a doctor. His mother arrives to take him back to New York City, where she accepts a new job, prompting Li to promise to give up martial arts forever.

After moving to New York City, Li struggles to adjust to the new environment and feels isolated at school. His attempts to make friends are thwarted, and he finds it difficult to find his place.

Li meets Mia Lipani, the daughter of Victor Lipani, a pizzeria owner. As they begin to develop a romantic relationship, they face challenges from Connor Day, Mia's aggressive ex-boyfriend.

Connor, a champion fighter at a local dojo, confronts Li, leading to a violent fight where Connor beats him significantly. This encounter leaves Li feeling defeated and uncertain about his fighting abilities.

After the fight with Connor, Li's mother assigns him a tutor named Alan. Through their growing friendship, Li starts to regain his confidence and learn new skills.

One night, Li sees Victor being attacked by thugs sent by O'Shea, a creditor. Defending Victor, Li defeats the attackers, earning Victor's gratitude and setting the stage for their partnership.

Victor confides in Li about his plans for a boxing comeback to pay off his debts. Initially hesitant, Li agrees to help train Victor, believing he won't have to fight himself but will support his friend.

During Victor's comeback match, O'Shea's orders lead to illegal hits that knock Victor out. This sends him to the hospital, where Li's memories of his brother's death paralyze him with fear and guilt.

After avoiding Mr. Han's calls, Li reconnects with him when he arrives in New York. Mr. Han encourages Li to enter the Five Boroughs Tournament, aiming to help his friends and confront his past.

Li trains under Mr. Han's kung fu and seeks guidance from Daniel LaRusso, who shares insights from his own experiences. This dual training helps Li develop new skills and confidence.

Mr. Han and Daniel help Li adapt his brother's flying kick into a strategic move. After many attempts, Li finally masters the technique, which becomes crucial for his upcoming match.

In the tournament finals, Li faces off against Connor in an intense match. Tied at seven points, Li uses the adapted flying kick to land the final blow, winning the match and confronting his fears.

Later, Victor begins a new chapter by opening a second pizzeria with Mia. Their partnership signifies hope and renewal as they move forward with their lives.

Li sends a pizza as a thank-you gift, which reaches Daniel in Los Angeles. Sharing a slice with Johnny Lawrence, Daniel humorously faces mockery over the preference for New York pizza, hinting at a new business idea.
