On a train in the United Arab Emirates, John David and Ananda Raman strike up conversations as the ride stalls. They disembark for refreshment, switch to a passing lorry, and later arrange a taxi to reach a local lodge. The journey marks the beginning of a tense yet fateful alliance between the two men.

John recounts his childhood love for Anna in Assam and how he later moves to Dubai for work. He reconnects with Anna, only to learn she is married. After Anna's husband dies in an accident, John marries Anna.

Ananda runs a Kerala news channel and launches a Dubai channel using borrowed funds to grow. A severe UAE recession triggers job losses, visa cancellations, and mounting debt. He is forced to return to Kerala, unsure how to salvage his career and finances.

John suggests that Ananda accompany him to Karwar the next day, hoping fate will provide the money they need. They travel to an estate in Karwar where Raghu and his family live, and a resort-visit plan is discussed. A party is hosted to set up the crime backdrop.

Raghu's daughter and John had connected on Facebook about a resort deal, and a private meeting is arranged during a party. After guests leave, John threatens Raghu to transfer all the cash, showing him a threatening photo. Raghu and his wife comply, handing over the money.

John kills Raghu, Raghu's wife, and Raghu's daughter after the money is transferred. He films the dying daughter when he invites Ananda Raman to join upstairs, then leaves with a bag of money. The act seals his horrific revenge plan and shocks Ananda.

In the car, Ananda Raman shouts and argues with John as they drive away. John declares it was fate, tosses a money bag to Ananda, and leaves them behind. Ananda is left to face the mounting consequences of their actions.

An actress is found dead near a train track, and her husband Kuruvila Mathew travels from the UAE to identify her. He discovers that money had been transferred from his account just 30 minutes before her death and views CCTV footage showing a man with his wife. This revelation sets him on a path of pursuit.

Kuruvila reaches Karwar, watches the party video once more, and identifies the same man seen with his wife. He begins tracking Ananda Raman as he pieces together the connections between Raghu, John, and the others.

Ananda returns home, reconciles with his wife, and his father-in-law pledges assistance to clear his debts. The money John provided is hidden away, keeping Ananda and his family financially stable for the moment.

Kuruvila contacts Ananda and warns that John is coming for him next. Ananda admits he doesn't know why John is behaving this way, but the danger is real. The web of revenge tightens as both men prepare for the inevitable confrontation.

All three reach Kuruvila's house and John pressures Kuruvila to confess what he knows. Kuruvila reveals that the murders were driven by jealousy and greed during the recession, with Raghu and others involved in looting money. John explains the personal toll, including the death of his wife and children.

The case is eventually dismissed years later, as the tangled revenge plot unfolds publicly. Ananda Raman becomes a crime writer, penning a work on paid news and murder, thanking John for his guidance during another train journey.
