Parag Dixit and his girlfriend Mansi enjoy a simple, happy life until a false drug-case accusation changes everything. He is accused of firing at a police officer and possessing narcotics, a charge linked to his friend Keshav Rathod. Parag is arrested in Bandra, and Keshav is gravely injured and hospitalized.

Parag is housed in an overcrowded jail barrack where space is scarce and the mental toll of confinement begins to mount. He endures the harsh routine of prison life and slowly adapts to the new reality.

Mansi hires Advocate Harish Bhatia to handle the preliminary hearing, but the judge denies bail. The case moves forward with a heavy sense that the system is working against him.

Parag reappears in court after the charge sheet, and due to the seriousness of the offence and fears of tampering with evidence, bail remains denied. Months later, Keshav dies in hospital, removing a potential link to the case and altering his prospects.

Parag befriends Nawab, who provides sympathy and support inside prison. Meanwhile, Ghani becomes Baba Bhai's henchman and is released on bail, only to learn that his wife has remarried and commits suicide.

Galib bribes his way out of jail, triggering a new wave of paranoia inside the facility. Joe is released on bail and celebrates by donating his clothes; Parag retaliates by beating Joe, and as punishment he is placed in solitary confinement for ten days.

Parag is released from solitary confinement after ten days, following Nawab's intervention. With Kabir's help, he is then allowed to go to the hospital to meet Mansi and his mother.

Nawab scolds Parag and cautions him to stay away from gangsters who demand much in return. He opens up about his own tragedy: his younger brother became entangled with a gangster and was murdered, forcing Nawab to kill both his brother and the gangster to survive.

Two years have passed in prison. Parag is convicted and sentenced to ten years, having already served two; eight years remain before release.

With little faith in himself and the system, Parag contemplates suicide as a way out of his hopeless situation. He asks Kabir to secure his release in exchange for future favors or arrangements.

Parag agrees to Kabir's plan to contact Baba Bhai for help. A routine transfer to Nasik Jail is arranged, giving him a glimmer of a possible escape or reprieve.

During the transfer, a corrupt officer places Parag in Kabir's transport. Kabir and his gang cause an accident to escape, but Parag stays back, and Nawab is informed of the incident with relief.

Parag is moved to Kolhapur Jail, where he tries to find hope amid grim circumstances. Six months later, Mansi hires a new lawyer who begins building his defense.

Mansi's new lawyer proves Parag's innocence, and he is acquitted. Sometime later, he and Mansi visit Nawab in jail to thank him for his support.
