In the months leading up to World War II, Britain initiated a significant humanitarian mission, bringing over 10,000 Jewish and refugee children from Germany, Austria, and Czechoslovakia. This operation, known as the Kindertransport, provided refuge for these young individuals, placing them in foster homes and hostels. They hoped to eventually reunite with their families, though the circumstances of the war meant that this was not possible for everyone. The film explores this extraordinary chapter of British history and the experiences of those involved.
