Documentary chronicles 29‑year‑old London stockbroker Nicholas Winton, who, sensing danger for Jewish children, arranged eight transports from Prague to Britain between March 13 and August 2 1939, saving 669 lives. He kept the effort secret until 1988, when his wife uncovered a scrapbook. The film reveals the forged documents, the limited acceptance by Sweden and Britain, and his separation from the children after they were placed with foster families.
