Through the eyes of a man recalling his childhood in Prague as World War II begins, the film traces the collapse of the Jewish‑Czech Silberstein family under Nazi oppression. Based on true events, it honors British humanitarian Nicholas Winton, who rescued 669 largely Jewish children from occupied Czechoslovakia in the Czech Kindertransport before many perished in the Holocaust.
