I Am Number Four

As children, John and eight other Loriens are sent to Earth to escape the destruction of their home planet by the Mogadorians. They are scattered across different locations to evade capture and protect their legacy.

John comes under the protective care of his guardian Henri, who is tasked with instructing him on how to harness his unique abilities. Henri helps John acclimate to life on Earth while preparing him for the inevitable threat posed by the Mogadorians.

As John grows up, he discovers he possesses remarkable powers, including superhuman strength, speed, and the ability to manipulate fire and emit light. These powers set him apart, marking him as a target for the looming threat.

To elude the Mogadorians, John and Henri relocate from Florida to the small town of Paradise, Ohio. This move offers them a semblance of normalcy, but also marks the beginning of a new chapter in John's life.

In Paradise, John befriends Sam Goode, who is intrigued by conspiracy theories, and develops a romantic relationship with Sarah Hart, an aspiring photographer. Their friendships bring both happiness and challenges as they navigate the complexities of young love.

Sarah's ex-boyfriend, Mark James, becomes a source of tension as he bullies John and expresses jealousy over his relationship with Sarah. This conflict adds to John's struggles as he tries to fit in while guarding his secret.

Henri reveals to John the significance of a mysterious box left to him by his father during their escape. This box holds vital connections to John’s past and the legacy he must fulfill as a Lorien.

At a spring carnival, Mark and his friends attack John and Sarah, mistakenly thinking they are hiding their romance. In a moment of desperation, John uses his alien powers to defend them, revealing his true identity to Sam.

The Mogadorians intensify their efforts to hunt down the Loriens, ultimately capturing Henri through cunning tactics. This event forces John and Sam to develop a plan to rescue him, illustrating their growing bond and commitment to one another.

After a daring rescue, John and Sam successfully free Henri, but not without consequences. Henri sustains mortal injuries and imparts crucial knowledge about their mission before passing, leaving John heartbroken and with a sense of urgency.

In the aftermath of Henri's death, the Mogadorians frame John and Henri as terrorists, driving John further into hiding. Mark inadvertently helps reveal John's powers while trying to protect Sarah, deepening the tension.

John, Sarah, and Sam confront the Mogadorians in a climactic battle. With appearance of Number Six and their ally Bernie Kosar, they combine their strengths to face the Commander and his forces, culminating in an explosive showdown.

After defeating the Mogadorians, John, Number Six, Sam, and Bernie Kosar focus on locating the remaining Loriens. They channel their combined energy to uncover their siblings' whereabouts, reminding themselves of the responsibility to protect Earth.

As the group prepares to hunt for the remaining Loriens, John shares an emotional farewell with Sarah. Their relationship is tested as John must leave to fulfill his destiny, with Sarah left to grapple with the aftermath of their brief connection.

With a renewed sense of purpose, John and his friends embark on their quest to gather the remaining Loriens, aiming to confront the impending Mogadorian threat together. This marks the beginning of a larger journey filled with challenges yet to come.
