I Am Frankelda

In 1866 Monte de Video, Mexico, Francisca Imelda harbors a passion that defies the expectations of her time — she yearns to become a horror writer in an era when such ambitions are met with stern disapproval. Following her mother's death and facing the rigid opposition of a strict grandmother, Francisca finds solace in crafting tales of fantastic creatures and a mysterious realm she calls the Topus Terrenus. Her stories are more than mere imagination, however; they pulse with a life she could never have anticipated.

Unknown to Francisca, the world she writes about exists in a parallel dimension — and the inhabitants of the Topus Terrenus are very real. Among them is Prince Herneval, a tormented royal who discovers the existence of humans through Francisca's narrative. The realm operates on a dark foundation: it and its creatures thrive on human fear. Yet this connection between worlds is forbidden, and tensions simmer beneath the surface of both realities.

When Francisca's writing career stalls, she reinvents herself under the pseudonym "Frankelda," unaware that her words have already begun to blur the boundaries between fiction and existence. Prince Herneval, desperate to save his fading kingdom, sees in Frankelda a potential salvation — but bringing her into his world means unraveling the delicate veil that separates their dimensions.
