Count Dracula arrives at the castle home of Dr. Franz Edelmann and explains he has come to Visaria to find a cure for his vampirism. Edelmann agrees to help, proposing a series of blood transfusions using his own blood. Milizia, the doctor's assistant, stands by as the plan is set in motion.

Talbot arrives seeking a cure; waits and is imprisoned as the moon rises

Lawrence Talbot arrives at the castle demanding treatment for his lycanthropy. He is told to wait, and, aware that the full moon is rising, he has himself incarcerated by the local police to avoid harming others.

As the moon rises, Talbot undergoes a full transformation into the Wolf Man in the presence of Inspector Holtz and Dr. Edelmann. The terrifying change confirms the urgency of finding a cure.

The townspeople accuse Edelmann and pursue him toward the castle as Holtz and Steinmuhl interrogate Talbot and Edelmann. A violent confrontation erupts, Holtz is killed by an accidental electrocution, Talbot shoots Edelmann, and a fire traps the monster and collapses the burning castle roof.
