Horror Express

In 1906, Professor Sir Alexander Saxton boards the Trans-Siberian Railway in Shanghai, excited to return to England. He carries with him a crate that he believes contains the frozen remains of a primitive humanoid, a potential missing link in human evolution.

Before the train can depart, a notorious thief inspects the crate and is found dead on the platform. His body is discovered with bleeding eyes, raising alarm and stirring a sense of dread among the passengers.

Pujardov, a monk, warns Saxton that the crate carries evil and is a harbinger of doom. He references a chalk mark that inexplicably fails to affect the crate, further suggesting its ominous nature, but Saxton dismisses him as a mere trickster.

Dr. Wells bribes a baggage handler to reveal the contents of Saxton's crate. This cautionary decision leads to horror as a glowing red-eyed creature emerges, instantly claiming the handler as its first victim.

As the train speeds toward Moscow, the newly released creature begins to cause chaos among the passengers. Inspector Mirov tries to maintain order while searching for the elusive beast amidst growing panic.

Natasha, a captivating woman, cleverly integrates herself into Wells' compartment, feigning distress. However, she harbors sinister intentions, aiming to steal a valuable block of steel from Count Petrovski.

Natasha's cover is nearly blown when Yevtushenko, an engineer on the train, recognizes her. Her true identity as a spy is at serious risk as the tension builds among the passengers and crew.

In a chilling moment, Wells and Miss Jones conduct an autopsy on the deceased baggage handler and find that his brain is unnaturally smooth. This unsettling revelation indicates that the creature has the ability to drain memories and knowledge.
