When a nuclear explosion devastates Los Angeles and the nation’s power grid fails, the United States plunges into chaos almost overnight. In this fractured new reality, survival becomes the only law, and those who prepared for the unthinkable suddenly find themselves at the center of a desperate struggle for sanctuary.

Former Green Beret Jeff Eriksson and his wife Tara bring their three children to The Homestead, a fortified mountain compound owned by wealthy prepper Ian Ross. Built high in the Rocky Mountains above the city of Oakwood, the self-sufficient estate was designed to withstand societal collapse—stockpiled with food, water, medical supplies, livestock, and enough resources to endure the darkest of times. Ian has assembled a team of former special forces operatives to protect the property, but the safe haven he created soon faces challenges no amount of planning could anticipate.

As word of The Homestead spreads through the region, desperate survivors begin gathering outside its gates, testing the community’s resolve and moral boundaries. Inside, tensions simmer between Jeff’s pragmatic military mindset and Ian’s more idealistic expectations of government intervention. The Erikssons must navigate not only external threats but also the complicated dynamics of their new community—including their adopted daughter Gracie, whose unsettling visions of future violence leave her parents uncertain and on edge.
