Wang Duoyu, an unsuccessful goalie for Daxiang, is the central figure in a story that blends daring money moves with personal ambition. He is played by Teng Shen. After a match-fixing scandal that led to a 0–5 loss, he is almost dismissed by the team’s coach, a setback that sets the stage for a far wilder set of opportunities.

Then a shocking reveal changes everything: he is the heir to a CN¥30 billion fortune, but to inherit it he must spend CN¥1 billion within thirty days. The rules are strict and dizzyingly exact—he must not tell anyone about the mission, he must spend the money on himself, he may not use funds for charity or illegal activities, and he must not own any assets when the thirty days are up. In a bid to accelerate his expenditure, he introduces a novel insurance product called the “fat insurance,” a quirky scheme that somehow sets off a citywide wave of weight loss as people exercise more and weigh less. The stunt becomes a curious cultural moment, blurring the lines between marketing and personal purpose.

The climax centers on the scheduled friendly match against Hengtai. The visiting team’s captain demands a blowout score, and by the 50th minute Hengtai leads 9–0—but Daxiang fights back with stubborn defense, keeping the final tally at 9–0, a result that underscores the unpredictable nature of the whole venture. Soon after, a dark turn arrives: Xia Zhu is abducted, and a ransom of ¥10 million must be paid by 6 PM that day to save her life. Violating the strict conditions of his inheritance mission would be a disaster, yet Duoyu ultimately decides to pay, recognizing this emergency as the final, intrinsic requirement for claiming the 30 billion.

In the end, Duoyu and Xia Zhu marry, embodying a new partnership built on shared risk and ambition. The couple contemplates donating their fortune to charity, but they insist on preserving enough money to raise a child, a practical concern that proves almost as formidable as the fortune itself.
