A brutal fight ends with Ishmael overpowering Lee and impaling him on a sharp tree trunk. Lee makes a last bid to kill Ishmael, but Ailin saves him, allowing Lee to die from his wounds.

Ailin recovers in the hospital while Ishmael, though badly wounded, wakes to find her by his side. Her smile hints at a possible rekindling and a new future together after all they endured.
