Donald Duck arrives at Brownstone National Park, where Ranger J. Audubon Woodlore warns the bears not to steal from visitors. Hungry bear Humphrey teams up with Donald, eyeing his roast ham. When Donald refuses to share, Humphrey resorts to tricks—lying on the road and pretending to be hit—to get a bite. Donald finally offers food, sees the ruse, and they argue. The ranger orders them to clean up, then tries to swipe the ham himself, only to be rebuked by both duck and bear.
