The Hunter tries to drive a wedge between the sisters by urging Brigitte to kill Ginger, but Brigitte refuses and instead kills the Hunter. The sisters flee together, deciding to protect each other. In a final, symbolic act, they press their hands together to mix their blood, sealing their bond and infecting themselves in a desperate bid for a cure.
