Barbara, seeking any chance to shield Karen and the family, joins forces with Beatriz and their housekeeper Arlene Amy Austria to contact Ruth’s presence. During a tense séance, Ruth’s spirit temporarily possesses Karen and wounds Beatriz, but Beatriz’s protective rites push Ruth back. However, what seems like a temporary disruption is actually a sign that the curse has grown stronger: on the ninth day since Ruth’s death, the haunting is supposed to wane, but in truth Ruth’s power has only begun to deepen. The truth is closer to eleven days, and the evil that Ruth has awakened is far from finished.

As Barbara and Karen retreat to a family villa for safety, Sofia Eva Aquino, Beatriz’s apprentice, arrives with a grim warning: Ruth’s return is not a temporary disturbance but a dangerous resurgence that could reach Barbara and Nick.
