Three friends—Alexxx, Darren, and Joel—work as housekeepers in a luxurious Los Angeles hotel. Alexxx is brimming with eccentric business ideas, such as providing hot tutors for children and launching a $20/month jeans rental service. His ambition drives him to seek a life that does not involve cleaning toilets, aiming instead for success and wealth. Their supervisor, Cassie, oversees their antics while Mitch, the hotel manager, seems unfazed by their rather outrageous behavior. When Cassie informs Mitch about their unruly conduct, she is dismissed with a nonchalant “boys will be boys.”
Their lives take a turn when Mitch announces an upcoming high-profile party at the hotel, hosted by the Bey of Tunisia, with Mr. Ahmad serving as the personal attache. Seizing this as an incredible opportunity, Alexxx decides to pitch their video game project, Skintendo, to the Bey, convinced that it could lead to major funding. However, unbeknownst to them, a group of terrorists, led by Conrad and supported by Erma and Donald, have infiltrated the building, posing as the Bey’s security team.
As the evening unfolds, the trio approaches the Bey, who surprisingly shares their enthusiasm for Skintendo and agrees to invest $200,000, ignoring Ahmad’s protests. But just as they celebrate their success, Mitch takes back the check under dubious circumstances. The plot thickens when the terrorists take control of the venue, with Conrad calling the shots and threatening the lives of hostages if his demands are not met.
As tensions rise, Alexxx and his friends find themselves trapped, with all exits guarded. They concoct a daring plan to escape via a zip line made from an ironing board, only for things to take a chaotic turn when one of the terrorists, Rich, unexpectedly confronts them. A fight ensues, leading to a series of wild events, culminating in the death of Donald and exposing Ahmad as a traitor working alongside Conrad.
In a desperate attempt to save the hostages, the trio concocts a plan involving Salvia—a hallucinogenic drug—to incapacitate their captors. They infiltrate the AC ducts, where a confrontation with Erma leads to a fierce battle in the hotel kitchen. The stakes escalate as Ahmad turns the situation even grimmer by forcing the hostages to fight amongst themselves.
The friends face numerous perilous encounters, including being captured by Rich and ultimately using his body to create a grotesque version of Skintendo that they control via an iPad for a revenge scheme against their captors. As they corner Ahmad, a series of unexpected alliances and betrayals come to light, with Mitch making an unusual but pivotal entrance to help the boys defeat Erma.
In a thrilling climax, the fate of the hostages hinges on a duel with Ahmad, which ends with a dramatic explosion that claims Ahmad’s life. However, success comes with a price—while they manage to rescue the hostages, the Bey is unwilling to fund their project, revealing his motivations were not what they seemed.
Two years later, having transformed their harrowing adventure into a game aptly titled “Game Over, Man,” the friends find themselves enjoying their newfound wealth on a yacht, unaware that they are being trailed by Somali pirates, setting the stage for yet another thrilling escapade.
