On June 13, 1980, young Jason Voorhees witnesses the brutal beheading of his mother, Pamela, by a camp counselor. This horrifying event marks the beginning of Jason's transformation into a vengeful figure connected to Camp Crystal Lake.

Nearly thirty years later, a group of friends arrives at Crystal Lake for a camping adventure, looking to find hidden marijuana. The group consists of Wade, Richie, Mike, Whitney, and Amanda, eager for a weekend of fun.

That same night, Jason, now an adult, makes his presence known by launching a gruesome killing spree against the friends. He kills every member of the group in a series of brutal attacks, sparing Whitney due to her resemblance to his mother.

Six weeks after the massacre, Trent and his friends arrive at his family’s summer cabin by the shores of Crystal Lake. Accompanied by Jenna, Chelsea, Bree, Chewie, Nolan, and Lawrence, they hope for an enjoyable getaway.

Meanwhile, Clay Miller arrives at Crystal Lake to search for his missing sister, Whitney. His search leads him to Trent's cabin, where he encounters Jenna, who decides to join him in finding Whitney.

As Clay and Jenna search for Whitney, Jason strikes again, this time killing Chelsea and Nolan while they are wakeboarding. The danger becomes clear, yet they continue to press on in hopes of finding Whitney.

Clay and Jenna eventually reach the old Crystal Lake campgrounds where they witness Jason dragging a lifeless body into a decrepit camp house. They realize the danger is imminent and rush back to warn Trent and the others.

Despite their warnings, Jason arrives and cuts off the electricity to the cabin. The horror escalates as he claims the lives of Chewie and Lawrence outside and then Bree inside, leading to a desperate situation for Trent and the others.

In a narrow escape, Trent, Clay, and Jenna attempt to flee, but tragedy strikes when Trent is caught by Jason near the main road. His demise intensifies the urgency for Clay and Jenna to find safety.

The chase continues as Jason relentlessly pursues Clay and Jenna back to the campgrounds. Clay discovers Jason's lair and finds Whitney chained to a wall, leading him to courageously free her.

As they attempt to flee, Jenna is suddenly killed by Jason right before she can reach safety. This moment solidifies the gravity of their situation and adds to Clay and Whitney's desperation.

Cornered by Jason, Whitney bravely decides to mimic her mother Pamela's voice to confuse him. This clever deception allows her brief reprieve, culminating in her using Jason's own machete against him.

In a moment of perceived triumph, Clay and Whitney dispose of Jason's body into the lake, thinking they have finally defeated him. Their relief is short-lived as Jason unexpectedly bursts forth from the water.

In the concluding moments, Jason seizes Whitney once more, reiterating the ongoing cycle of horror associated with his character. The chilling scene leaves the audience with the understanding that the terror is far from over.
