Ek: The Power of One

Anna Mhatre hires Nandu Sharma and his gateway partner Shekhar to assassinate Mhatre during one of his political party meetings, hoping the shooting would win sympathy votes. They arrange the operation in secret to avoid scrutiny. The plan hinges on portraying Mhatre as a martyr.

On the day of the hit, Mhatre is shot dead by an unseen assailant during the party meeting. Simultaneously, Shekhar dies in an accident, turning the operation into chaos. The immediate success collapses into confusion.

Nandu escapes by leaping from a building onto a moving train. On the run, he encounters Puran Singh, who is returning to his village Chambela after years away.

In Valsad, police spot Nandu and open fire. In the crossfire, Puran is accidentally killed, turning the chase against Nandu into a tragic symbol of mistaken identity.

Nandu travels to Chambela to inform Puran's family of his death. The family mistakes him for Puran and welcomes him back as if he has returned home.

Nandu becomes part of the family's life by helping them with their problems. He also falls in love with Preet Kaur, Puran's childhood friend.

Nandu reveals his true identity to Guru, Puran's old friend, explaining that he is Nandu rather than the missing Puran. Guru's response confirms the truth to key allies and reshapes trust around Nandu.

Nandkumar Rane, a CBI officer, is assigned to investigate Mhatre's murder. His inquiry soon leads him to Chambela, where he grows suspicious of Nandu.

Using a clue from Savte, their mentor in prison, Rane traces the payment made to Nandu back to Chambela. The tracing deepens the case and tightens the net around Nandu's circle.

Nandu flees before Rane arrives, and Rane informs Puran's family of his death. After Rane and his team depart, the family believes Nandu has cheated them.

Guru speaks up in Nandu's defense, recounting the good deeds he has performed for the family. The revelations force the family to reconsider their suspicions, and Nandu returns to confess his true identity, insisting he did not cheat them.

Puran's grandfather tells Nandu that by staying and fixing the family's problems, he has become like Puran and should seek justice. He encourages Nandu to pursue accountability rather than flee.

Nandu records a phone conversation with Joshi, the CM candidate, using it as leverage to extract accountability. The recording becomes crucial evidence against the conspiracy.

Nandu tracks down Shekhar; they are ambushed by corrupt cops attempting to seize the tape. In the ensuing clash, Nandu defeats the officers and Shekhar dies.

Rane arrives and is handed the incriminating tape; he confronts Joshi, who, cornered by the evidence, commits suicide. Nandu immerses Puran's ashes, and the authorities reveal that the killer died in an accident and the mastermind took his own life; Nandu is allowed to go as Puran and heads to Chambela to begin a new journey.
