Surya Murthy [Nagarjuna Akkineni] is the respected head of a village, cherished by everyone except the troublemaking Nazar. He lives with his grandparents and a 6-year-old girl named Rani, and he has a younger look-alike brother, Satyamurthy [Nagarjuna Akkineni], also known as Satya in Hyderabad, who is pursuing a computer science degree and has a non-Telugu–speaking girlfriend, Sri. The elder brother Surya Murthy has decided not to marry, which sets Satya on a mission to find a suitable bride for him.

Satya’s search leads him to Vasundhara [Soundarya], whom he meets at a temple and believes could be the right match for Surya Murthy. As Vasundhara spends time with the family and observes Surya Murthy in action, she begins to see the heroism and goodness in him during a trip to Hyderabad. She learns a painful backstory: Surya Murthy and Satya are the younger brothers of Bhavani’s husband, a man whose life was shattered by their elder brother’s past actions. Vasundhara recalls that Surya Murthy played a villainous role in Bhavani’s life and was implicated in her husband’s death after his prolonged drinking, and she believes Surya Murthy even took away her daughter, Rani. This flashback fuels her resolve to seek revenge by marrying Surya Murthy and gradually tearing the family apart.

To execute her plan, Vasundhara accepts Satya’s proposal for Surya Murthy to marry her. The two stage a ruse: Vasundhara stays in Satya’s village and helps create situations where she appears to rescue Rani from danger. Repeated pleas from his family and from Rani eventually move Surya Murthy to marry Vasundhara. The couple’s union starts with a troubling first night that Vasundhara delays by 22 days after bribing the priest. She then transfers money and jewelry to her sister’s house with the help of a petty thief, who, however, is caught. Meanwhile, Satya becomes aware of Vasundhara’s true intentions and explains the remembered flashback involving Bhavani to Vasundhara.

To protect his sister-in-law, Satya adopts a bold stance and reveals an unexpected scheme: he pretends to seek a stake in the family property and claims that he has stolen the jewelry, hoping the thief will sell it so Satya can start a software business. This confrontation triggers a rift between the brothers. The remainder of the film follows their tension, the uncovering of deeper truths, and, ultimately, how the brothers reunite to confront and decimate the villain gang together.
