DuckTales: The Movie – Treasure of the Lost Lamp

Scrooge travels to the Middle East with Huey, Dewey, Louie, Webby, and Launchpad to inspect a recently discovered treasure chest. They hope it contains Collie Baba's treasure. The expedition starts with excitement, though the chest initially disappoints by containing only old clothes.

Clothes aside, Scrooge finds an ancient treasure map in the pocket of an old robe. The map points toward a legendary trove, sending the group deeper into their quest. The discovery shatters any doubt about the chest’s contents.

Dijon poses as a guide and leads them toward the treasure, but he secretly works for Merlock. The group trusts the guidance, unaware of Merlock's true interest. The path ahead grows more dangerous as the desert tests them.

The group reaches a sand-covered pyramid and uncovers Collie Baba's treasure. Webby spots a lamp among the riches and is allowed to keep it since it seems to have no value. Scrooge is excited by the riches but reminds everyone to stay wary.

Merlock and Dijon trap the group in a room full of monstrous scorpions and seize the treasure. Merlock soon learns that the lamp is missing and orders Dijon to help locate it. The danger intensifies as the true stakes emerge.

Days later, the lamp's magic awakens a Genie who grants three wishes to each of the kids. The Genie initially hides his true identity as he interacts with them. The group begins to understand the lamp’s power and its potential consequences.

The Genie explains Merlock's history of using wishes for eternal life and to destroy Atlantis and Pompeii. He also notes Merlock's talisman can take various animal forms and can override the lamp's rules, letting Merlock push for unlimited wishes. The stakes grow as they realize Merlock's relentless pursuit.

Webby uses her last wish to bring all her toys to life, transforming the group's dynamic. The powerful magic forces the group to reveal Genie's true identity to Scrooge. The revelation shakes Scrooge but strengthens their resolve to stop Merlock.

To impress the Archaeological Society, Scrooge wishes to bring Collie Baba's treasure to the annual ball in Duckburg, taking the lamp and Genie with him. Merlock and Dijon follow, ambushing Scrooge during the event. The plan to showcase wealth spirals into chaos.

In the ensuing struggle, Scrooge mistakes a gravy boat for the lamp and loses both to Dijon. Genie, under Dijon's control, remains with Dijon, complicating the heroes' efforts. The lamp's fate becomes a turning point in the confrontation.

Dijon uses the lamp to gain Scrooge's fortune and seizes the Money Bin, leading to Scrooge's arrest for trespassing. Launchpad and the rest bail him out and vow to fix things. The balance of power shifts dramatically in Duckburg.

Scrooge and his friends infiltrate the Money Bin to retrieve the lamp, but Merlock recovers it first. Merlock uses the talisman to turn Dijon into a pig and lifts the Money Bin fortress into the sky. The showdown moves from the ground to the air.

A climactic sky battle unfolds as Merlock grapples with Scrooge while the fortress hovers over Duckburg. The nephews knock the lamp from Merlock's hands, and Scrooge seizes a decisive moment by dislodging the talisman, causing Merlock to fall to his death. The immediate threat to the world is removed.

Scrooge recovers the lamp and uses his second wish to return himself, his family, and the Money Bin back to Duckburg. He declares he has had enough of wishing and instead wishes for Genie to become a real boy. The genie’s fateful transformation marks a permanent change to the world’s magic balance.

Without Genie’s magic, the lamp disintegrates, ending its powers for good. The children embrace their new friend, while Dijon is caught with his money stash and chased through the streets by Scrooge. Duckburg returns to normal, but the royal chase for petty fortune continues to haunt Dijon.
