In Baghdad, a traveling magician begs the stars to reveal who can claim the legendary lamp. The cosmos point to Aladdin, the son of Ali al Maruf, as the one destined to fetch the magical treasure. The quest takes him through a bustling market where trouble brews: the sultan arrives with his radiant daughter, Budhur, and a fearsome decree is announced — anyone who dares to look at the royal entourage will pay with their life. The crowd kneels and casts their eyes downward as the sultan’s lavish retinue passes by, a spectacle of color and power. On a daring impulse, the princess desires a glimpse of Aladdin, even though such a gaze could prove fatal for him. Guards close in to seize him, but the magician steps in to help Aladdin escape, still needing his services for the moment.
Not long after, the Dark Wizard reaches out to Aladdin’s family, posing as Ali al Maruf’s long‑lost brother. He manipulates Aladdin into retrieving an old copper lamp from the “Sunken City.” When Aladdin attempts to deliver the lamp to his supposed uncle, the impostor strikes, and a frantic fight sends Aladdin tumbling back into the Sunken City with the coveted lamp in hand. There, by chance, he rubs the lamp and releases a djinn who can grant wishes. The djinn arrives with the power to shape events, and in a rapid sequence, he brings the princess to Aladdin’s parents’ home, a moment that could change everything for the young couple.
The palace soon becomes a playground of strange lamp-spirit happenings. Aladdin’s mother, who now holds the lamp, calls upon the genie and wins back her son from captivity. The drama shifts to the heart of the palace, where Budhur’s longing to marry Aladdin grows stronger. She persuades her father that this union is nothing but a dream, and the sultan eventually consents. The wedding draws near, but a cruel twist of fate arises when the lamp falls into the hands of the Dark Wizard. With the lamp’s formidable power, he rises to challenge the Sultan and earn the right to wed Budhur. He orders the djinn to kill Aladdin, but ingenuity and the lamp-spirit’s magic spark a clever counter — Aladdin asks the lamp-spirit to transform into a pitcher to break the spell. The ruse works, the villain is defeated, and the two lovers prepare to begin a life together, free to dream of a future shaped by courage, loyalty, and a little bit of magic.
