Dragon Ball Z: The Tree of Might

A forest fire interrupts a camping trip with Gohan, Krillin, Bulma, and Oolong. They manage to put out the flames and then use the Dragon Balls to restore the forest and revive the animals they killed. During this moment, Gohan befriends a small dragon he names Icarus.

Unbeknownst to the group, a probe sent by Turles, a Saiyan space pirate who resembles Goku, has sparked the attack on Earth. He intends to plant the Tree of Might, a life-draining plant whose fruit grants immense power. The revelation sets the stage for a planetary threat.

Turles' henchmen plant the seed of the Tree of Might, and King Kai telepathically warns Goku of the danger. The cosmic warning adds urgency to the heroes' efforts. Meanwhile, the Earth begins to feel the tree's influence as life starts to fade.

Goku, Krillin, Yamcha, Tien, and Chiaotzu launch energy blasts at the Tree of Might, but their attacks fail to stop it. The tree drains water and life from the Earth, causing plants and animals to perish. The defeat foreshadows the gravity of Turles' plan.

Turles encounters Gohan, realizes he is half-Saiyan, and notes the similarity to Goku. He attempts to recruit Gohan to his conquest, suggesting a shared Saiyan lineage. Gohan resists and prepares to fight, signaling the start of a direct conflict.

Goku forms a Spirit Bomb, but the Tree of Might has drained Earth of energy, preventing the attack from taking effect. Turles deflects the ineffective blast and seems to seal Earth's fate. The moment underscores the tree's corrupting drain on life force.

The Tree of Might redirects its energy into Goku, allowing him to form a second, far more powerful Spirit Bomb. He channels the Earth’s remaining energy to create it, presenting a last beacon of hope for the planet. The move signals a decisive turn in the battle.

Goku confronts Turles beneath the tree's roots and fires the enhanced Spirit Bomb, blasting Turles into the tree and destroying both. The Earth finally receives relief as the immediate threat is vanquished. The battle ends with the planet's lifeforce beginning to heal.

In the aftermath, the Earth begins to recover from the Tree's drain and the heroes celebrate their victory. Piccolo contemplates the quiet by a waterfall, reflecting on the cost of his sacrifice. The group finds hope as life slowly returns.
