Doc West

Doc West sends money to Estrella from the Santa Fe post office. Immediately after, the post office is robbed by two bandits. West pursues them on horseback, but halts when he sees Silver fall from his horse after a rattlesnake scare, and he uses his skill to diagnose and fix Silver's dislocated arm, while denying that he is a doctor.

West's treatment of Silver earns respect, and he confirms that he is not a doctor. Silver asks if West is a doctor, and West denies it, choosing to let his actions speak for him. Silver mentions the bandits are headed for Holysand, setting the journey in motion.

West and Silver arrive in Holysand and witness a heated conflict between Nathan Mitchell and Victor Baker over a large seed deal. Sheriff Roy Basehart and Denise Stark intervene to break up the argument, establishing the town’s tense power structure. Garvey, Nathan’s ranch hand, is tasked to keep things in order and orders Silver to clean up.

Entering the saloon, West draws attention by ordering tea instead of whiskey, earning suspicion as a newcomer. Garvey challenges him to a round of poker and accuses him of cheating; West outs himself as a skilled opportunist and issues a duel challenge. Sheriff Basehart arrests West, while Garvey pockets West's money.

News spreads that West helped Silver, and the sheriff reports his back pain has disappeared thanks to his new boots. The town’s opinion of West shifts from a stranger to a capable protector. West’s growing reputation begins to outshine his past, even as he remains under watch.

Millie reaches Holysand and is greeted by her childhood friends Burt and Jack. She reunites with Melody, Nathan, and Silver, while Nathan cautions Jack and Burt to stay away from Millie because of his rivalry with their father. Silver gives West an apple pie as a friendly gesture.

In a poker game with the sheriff, West reveals that he once worked as a doctor and accidentally killed a patient while drunk. He confesses that he still cares for Estrella and sends money monthly, but vows never to drink or touch a scalpel again. The revelation deepens the bond with Stark and the community.

The Baker brothers set fire to seed salesman Sam's clothes and are arrested, bringing some comic relief to the tense town. West is released, and with Nathan’s help, he recovers the money Garvey had stolen from him earlier. West realizes Garvey is connected to the Santa Fe robbery.

Millie learns of Nathan’s marriage to Dana, which stings her. Nathan explains that he and Victor are enemies in the land dispute, and Victor’s barn burns under suspicious circumstances. Nathan is blamed and Victor bails out his sons, deepening the feud.

West tells the sheriff that Garvey was the source of the stolen money and that he took days off around the robberies. He decides to stay in a room at the saloon and waits for Garvey to be captured, while Millie and her friends agree to keep their friendship secret from their fathers.

Stark’s dog Big steals West’s beans and leads him to her house, where a meal is shared. West and Stark grow closer as he opens up, and their bond deepens toward a possible romance as he recovers from injuries and continues training.

To settle the land dispute, West organizes a boxing tournament in Holysand. The Bakers compete and friendship blossoms, while Jack’s jealousy intensifies. Garvey secretly carries a gun and after the match shoots, but Silver leaps in front of him and is wounded. West then shoots and kills Garvey, ending his threat.

After the clash, West refrains from performing surgery on Estrella’s mother, but Stark urges him to act and Silver is saved. West and Stark share a kiss, signaling a delicate new bond as West prepares to leave Holysand. A Mexican farmer later seeks West’s help with a dying wife, and Silver rides after him, leaving West to face an open-ended future.
