After being thrown from a train and pursued by Indians, Arbuckle winds up in the dusty frontier town of Mad Dog Gulch. He teams up with gambler‑saloon owner Bill Bullhum to protect Salvation Army volunteer Sue from the villainous Wild Bill Hickup. Meanwhile, Fatty and Buster embark on a series of comic escapades trying to outwit St. John, eventually discovering his only weakness—his ticklishness.
