Tucker Williams performs in shiny, chest-exposing attire at Blueberry Hill, proudly spinning platters for the late-70s disco crowd. In the audience, his nephew Bucky watches with admiration while his girlfriend frets about him. Outside, Bucky slips away to score angel dust, triggering the crisis that opens the film.

Bucky wanders back inside the club in a delirious haze and is taken to the hospital under Dr. Mathis. Tucker visits the PCP ward and witnesses other victims suffering terrifying hallucinations, including a girl with a doll who claims she served her baby for dinner. The doctors warn that Bucky's recovery will take time.

Determined to wipe out the PCP menace, Tucker returns to the precinct where he used to serve. He is welcomed by Captain Kilroy and Lieutenant Hayes, who offer their support for the anti-drug crusade. Tucker lays out his plan to pursue the drug ring and protect the community.

The antagonist behind the epidemic is revealed as Stinger Ray, a businessman who wants control of a basketball franchise and profits from PCP sales, including the dangerous 'sherms'. He orders a hit on Tucker, but also ultimately wants Tucker alive to deal with later. The tension escalates as Stinger's criminal web tightens.

During a disco-dancing and skating spectacle at Blueberry Hill, two of Stinger's hitmen attempt to shoot Tucker.
