In Chennai, Swapna, a fashion model living near Narain’s home, catches Arumugam’s attention. Narain, also from the village, loves Swapna, creating a subtle love triangle. The trio settles in with Narain as they scheme to approach Kaalaipandi.

Arumugam confronts Kaalaipandi amidst a heavy crowd and explains the villagers’ plight caused by the polluted river. Kaalaipandi acknowledges the issue and promises to take swift action, raising the villagers’ hopes. The meeting signals Kaalaipandi’s facade of support.

Eswari accidentally collides with Aadhi, drawing his anger. Arumugam steps in to protect her and ends up fracturing Aadhi’s hands in the scuffle. Sornakka and Aadhi vow revenge against Arumugam and his friends.

With Kaalaipandi’s help, Sornakka and Aadhi abduct Arumugam and injure him, hoping to cripple his challenge against the factory. The attack shocks the village and deepens the conflict between the two sides.

Sub-Inspector Karunakaran, once helpful to Arumugam, is manipulated by Kaalaipandi and Sornakka into releasing gangsters. He is portrayed as 'abnormal' by them, reflecting the corrupt system they exploit. This leads to a brutal confrontation as Karunakaran decides his own course of action.

In the climactic confrontation, Arumugam outsmarts the villain, and Kaalaipandi is killed by police. The Chief Minister exposes Kaalaipandi’s crimes, and the villagers celebrate as the government closes the chemical factory. The river’s fate and community relief mark the film’s resolution.
