Dhokha

A bomb blast erupts at a crowded city mall and Inspector Zaid Ahmed is alerted on duty to respond. The investigation quickly points to Sara Khan, Zaid's wife, creating a personal and professional shock for him.

Zaid struggles to accept the possibility that his wife is the bomber after seeing her alleged death. He claims he dropped her at the bus stop, clinging to an alternative explanation despite the evidence.

The Anti Terrorism Squad steps in and temporarily suspends Zaid from active duty under Chief Raj Mehra's orders. Zaid remains convinced his wife could not be the terrorist, challenging the official narrative.

A DVD is mailed to Zaid containing Sara's dying testimonial admitting responsibility. He struggles to believe the recording, which forces him to doubt the case and begin seeking the truth.

Zaid travels to meet Sara's grandfather, Saeed Noor Bux, to hear the other side of the story. Saeed recounts police brutality against Sara's father, the death of her father in custody, and the cover-up surrounding his disappearance.

When Saeed complains, authorities arrest him, Sara, and Daanish and force them to sign statements that they do not wish to investigate further. The case is suppressed through intimidation and coercion by the police.

In a brutal act of retaliation, Sara is taken to a cell and raped by the corrupt inspector. The trauma deepens Sara's resolve and pushes her toward radicalization as a means of revenge.

Sara and her brother Daanish begin meeting a maulvi who indoctrinates them with a violent mission to kill non-Muslims. The pair are drawn deeper into extremist plans as a result of the trauma and manipulation.

Sara leads with the mission while Daanish, missing for a month, is found preparing to blow himself up. Zaid pursues them, intent on stopping the planned attack and exposing the conspiracy.

Zaid confronts the maulvi's men and discovers a recording of Daanish accepting responsibility for a future bombing. The men threaten to let the attack proceed before Zaid fights and escapes.

Zaid locates Daanish at a railway station as he is about to call his grandfather, and persuades him that justice will prevail. Daanish relents and embraces Zaid in a moment of reconciliation.

Zaid's rank is restored and he resumes his duties, asserting the importance of justice to prevent terrorists from being created in the first place. His persistence helps push the investigation forward.

The corrupt inspector is arrested and the case is won with the help of Zaid, Saeed, and Daanish. The family finally receives a measure of justice and closure after a long struggle.
