Dawn of the Planet of the Apes

A devastating pandemic known as the Simian Flu wipes out nearly 99% of humanity. This catastrophe instigates the rise of a new order among the surviving simians, now endowed with heightened intelligence.

The intelligent apes, led by Caesar, establish a thriving colony in Muir Woods National Monument near San Francisco. Under Caesar's leadership, they form a new society, supported by loyal lieutenants Maurice, Rocket, and Koba.

A faction of human survivors, led by Malcolm, ventures into ape territory searching for a hydroelectric dam to restore power to their community. This incursion unknowingly triggers a series of events with dire consequences.

A chance meeting between Carver and Rocket's young son, Ash, escalates tensions between humans and apes. With quick thinking, Malcolm defuses the situation, but Caesar insists that the humans leave to protect his colony.

Under Koba's influence, Caesar reluctantly assembles a formidable army to maintain order and demand respect from the humans. This pivotal moment sets the stage for further negotiations between the two factions.

Malcolm successfully negotiates with Dreyfus, the leader of the human survivors, to allow a small team into the forest. This decision marks a temporary period of collaboration, allowing them access to the dam with the surrender of their weapons.

Malcolm's family connects with their ape counterparts, highlighting the potential for cooperation. However, trust quickly erodes when Carver's hidden weapon is discovered, leading to his expulsion from Caesar's colony.

Koba's increasing distrust of humans prompts him to secretly plot revenge. He murders two guards at an armory and ignites chaos during a festive gathering, trying to frame the humans for an attack on the ape settlement.

Koba leads a brutal assault on the human settlement in San Francisco, successfully capturing many humans. In the ensuing chaos, Ash bravely stands against Koba but ultimately falls victim to his plans.

Malcolm and his family discover a gravely wounded Caesar and rush him back to their former home for medical help. Their secret return leads to an emotional reunion when they find Blue Eyes, Caesar's son.

Together, Malcolm, Blue Eyes, and Caesar launch a daring mission to free the imprisoned humans and apes. They uncover Dreyfus's plan to detonate explosives on a tower as a last-ditch effort against Koba.

In a heart-wrenching turn of events, Dreyfus detonates explosives on the tower, sacrificing himself to confront Koba. This act of desperation escalates the conflict as chaos ensues around them.

With tensions at a peak, Caesar faces off against Koba. Despite their tumultuous past, Caesar chooses not to intervene as Koba succumbs to his own machinations and falls to his demise.

After the battle, Malcolm learns of a looming threat from the human army. He rushes to warn Caesar that an attack is imminent, urging him to prepare his colony for the oncoming conflict.

As the apes ready themselves for the impending conflict with humanity, Caesar stands before them, rallying their spirits with an inspiring speech. Their future hangs in the balance as they steel themselves for the challenges to come.
