David and the Elves

David grows up in the Tatra Mountains with his parents and grandparents, where Christmas is a warm, family-centered tradition. The holidays are filled with songs, meals, and shared rituals that bond the family. He cherishes these moments before the outside world disrupts them.

One year later the family moves to Warsaw because his parents' work keeps them busy. The change pulls David away from the mountains and the familiar Christmas rituals he loves. He must adjust to a new city life while still seeking the magic of the season.

During the Christmas season, an elf named Albert runs away from the North Pole in a bid to restore his fading magical power. Santa objects to his departure, but Albert believes popularity will save him. In reality, mischief and loneliness follow him as he travels.

Albert crosses paths with David in a Warsaw park and the two form an unlikely friendship. The elf’s bravado and David’s curiosity spark their time together, setting the stage for magical mischief. Their bond becomes the catalyst for the ensuing chaos and wonder.

Albert’s magic turns playful, but chaotic. A giant truck is transformed into a toy, the Christmas tree is replaced with a drum set, and David’s father's fake beard becomes a real one. The events are funny yet confusing for David and his parents.

David attempts to explain Albert’s antics to his parents, but his explanations backfire and frame Albert as a thief in his own defense. The family grows suspicious as the magical disturbances continue. David feels torn between truth and the strange magic he’s witnessed.

Santa realizes that Albert is losing his Christmas power while spending time with David, a change that could turn him into an ordinary toy. He dispatches others to search for Albert and restore the balance of Christmas magic. The stakes rise as the magic weakens.
