He makes his first stop at the home of Bill Carson, the esteemed district attorney, who is gearing up for a hunting trip that’s bound to be anything but peaceful. During his delivery of the morning edition, the boy takes a moment to warn Paula, Bill’s teenage daughter, emphasizing the necessity of adhering to the rules—no boys in the house, no skipping school, and, most importantly, diligent attention to her studies. With his message delivered, he pedals away into the early light, leaving behind a striking headline: “Boy who killed father released from Mental Asylum.”

Meanwhile, Bill trades his briefcase for a rifle, setting out for an adventurous day in the swampy wilds, blissfully unaware that a dangerous figure lurks in the shadows, armed with a quiver full of arrows and a dark desire for vengeance. Just as Bill takes aim at the early sky, this ominous figure unleashes an arrow meant for him.

On a different front, Dwight Ingalls finds himself rushing to school after a series of unfortunate events that have caused him to be late. Desperate and cornered, Brian subjects Dwight to a horrifying test of strength, forcing his head into a vice while aiming a drill menacingly toward his face. Just when it seems like all hope is lost, Paula seizes the moment, using a claw hammer with swift precision to strike Brian, sending him crashing onto a whirring saw blade that ends his twisted reign of terror. With the immediate threat neutralized, Dwight and Paula make a hurried escape in Dwight’s car.

Their brief moment of safety quickly shatters as they witness Bill losing control and tumbling down a hillside, narrowly escaping disaster thanks to Brian’s earlier sabotage of the brakes. Bill crawls out of the wreckage, bewildered, and quips, “Shouldn’t you be in school?
