As the final moments of his life approach, Jesus of Nazareth sets off on a monumental journey to the ancient city of Arimathea. This journey is marked by a sense of urgency and purpose as he intends to partake in Passover celebrations while reinforcing his faith.

Upon his arrival in Arimathea, Jesus is welcomed by an eager crowd observing the Passover celebrations. However, the atmosphere is tinged with tension as the Sanhedrin keeps a close watch over him, fearing his growing influence among the people.

The Sanhedrin, comprised of esteemed Jewish leaders, becomes increasingly alarmed by Jesus' popularity. Their anxiety is heightened by the Roman Empire's imposing presence, as they feel threatened by both Jesus and the foreign powers that discriminate against them.

Jesus finds companionship with John, one of his most trusted disciples. Together they seek refuge in a discreet sanctuary, allowing them to witness the sacred Passover rituals without attracting the attention of the Roman soldiers.

Mary, Jesus’ mother, comes to a painful realization about the struggles her son faces; they represent not only religious persecution but also deeper racial prejudices. The dynamics of oppression further complicate her understanding of the conflict.

At a modest Jewish guest house in Arimathea, Jesus shares a grave revelation with his disciples. He foretells the impending betrayal by one of them, setting a somber tone during the Passover meal, which is overshadowed by the weight of his prophetic words.

Despite witnessing Jesus' miraculous acts, Caiphas, the Sanhedrin leader, remains skeptical of his claims. He dismisses Jesus as simply another prophet, choosing not to recognize him as the Messiah, which amplifies the existing tension.

In a shocking turn of events, Judas Iscariot, one of Jesus' closest disciples, betrays him for thirty pieces of silver. This act of treachery solidifies the perilous situation Jesus finds himself in, as Judas reveals his location to the plotting Sanhedrin.

Caiphas aligns with the Roman soldiers, led by Horatius, to orchestrate Jesus' arrest. This alliance highlights the intersection of political ambition and religious authority, which places Jesus in grave danger.

The confrontation takes place in the serene setting of the Garden of Gethsemane. Here, Jesus is apprehended by Horatius and the Roman soldiers, marking the beginning of his harrowing ordeal.
