Veerababu, an auto rickshaw driver, finds an expensive camera left in his auto. He initially considers selling or renting it to pay off his auto loan. The discovery sets him on a path to make a film using the camera.

After watching a TV program about lucrative low-budget films, Veerababu decides to make a film of his own using the camera. He teams up with Ganapathi, a still photographer, to form a mini production crew.

They search for actors and finally cast a barber, Maridayya (Maridesh Babu), and a schoolgirl, Divya, as the leads for a simple love story. The goal is to create a feasible, local film quickly.

Filming starts but the crew's inexperience and local interruptions hamper progress. Nonetheless, the villagers begin to show interest and become part of the production.

Divya's father arranges her marriage, forcing her away. She elopes with her boyfriend; the community blames Veerababu for the setback, yet he remains determined to continue filming.

Divya is replaced by Manga (Maridesh's girlfriend) as the lead, and filming restarts with renewed effort. The crew pushes through despite prior disruption.

Sindhu, the owner who lost the camera, hunts through nearby villages and photo studios trying to locate the missing device. The search adds tension as the production continues with the rest of the crew.

With the scare over, the shoot accelerates as villagers support the project. The previously chaotic process begins to appear more coordinated.

During a shoot from atop a tree, the camera slips and falls, striking the old man on the head and causing severe injuries. He is rushed to the hospital, and the incident shocks everyone.

The villagers pool money to repair the damaged camera, showing collective support for the project. Veerababu initially blames Ganapathi for the mishap, but the community's cooperation keeps the film alive.

Ganapathi hands the camera to a photo studio for repair, but the studio owner informs Sindhu about the loss. She reacts with anger and confronts Ganapathi to retrieve the camera.

Sindhu watches the footage from the memory card, impressed by the work. She edits the film and arranges a screening in the village, arranging for another camera to help complete the project.

The film's final screening brings joy to the village. In the epilogue, Sindhu asks the old man if he really wrote the story; he replies that he cannot read, leaving the question about authorship unanswered.
