Raja Deepak Raj Giri is a wealthy but illiterate man who savors a carefree lifestyle, surrounded by a tight-knit group of friends—Ateet, Saraswati, Magne, and Buddhi—and living close to his neighbor Uma Priyanka Karki. He resists the push to marry despite his mother’s persistent pleas, often citing the difficulties he’s seen or heard about after marriage. The film follows how these threads of friendship, love, and family tug at his life as it unfolds, weaving through moments of humor and sharp domestic tension.

Ateet is jobless but falls in love with Brinda Barsha Raut and asks her father for permission to marry. Brinda’s father initially refuses, but relents when Ateet earns a US Diversity Visa. He marries Brinda and heads to the United States, promising to bring her when her papers are ready. Yet Brinda’s heart shifts, and she begins an affair with Raja, setting a web of complications in motion that tests loyalty and strengthens betrayals within their circle.

Magne Kedar Ghimire stays with his ailing mother, realizing how deeply she loves him as she grows older. This bond fuels his own ambitions to find work abroad, a step that will pull him away from home and into the larger currents of the story as it twists and turns around the others’ choices.

Saraswati Jeetu Nepal carries personal resentments, blaming his father for his feminine name even as he clings to affection for Bishnu, a village girl. He heads abroad for employment after Bishnu’s father challenges him to earn money, a decision that broadens the geography of the film and foreshadows the fateful collisions of the characters’ paths.

Buddhi Buddhi Tamang is married but jobless, and his friends spur him to drink and lash out, leading to a violent quarrel that drives his wife away to stay with her brother. The fracture reverberates through the group and highlights how fragile relationships can become under pressure, especially when economic strains press in from multiple sides.

As tensions simmer, Champa—who has been angered by Raja—points out Raja’s flaws, yet she also contends with the messy reality of imperfect marriages. She initially accepts Raja’s awkward marriage proposal, and for a moment it seems she might repair part of the broken life around him. But the plot takes a sharp turn when Champa and Aryan attempt to kill Raja and then elope, throwing the entire dynamics of the circle into chaos.

Driven by anger and a need to reclaim control, Raja pursues the couple and travels to Kathmandu. There he reunites with Magne, who is now stuck abroad due to a manpower agency and has drifted into the margins of the city’s rougher scenes. With Saraswati, Buddhi, and others in tow, Raja locates Champa and Aryan, only to be confronted by Ateet stepping forward as Champa’s groom. Ateet reveals that upon his return he learned of Raja and Brinda’s bond and orchestrated the scheme to magnify Raja’s sense of loss and vulnerability, a plan born of heartbreak and a desire for revenge.

In the film’s latter twists, Ateet marries Champa, and Raja retreats into a hermit’s quiet, estranged from the life he once led. Brinda remains at Raja’s house and later gives birth to a baby, a sign of new beginnings despite the tangled past. Saraswati ultimately marries Bishnu, Buddhi finds a way to reconcile with his wife before once again seeking opportunities abroad, and Magne, still caring for his mother, proposes Deepa for marriage, signaling fresh commitments and the enduring pull of family bonds. The story closes on a note that mixes melancholy with the possibility of renewal, highlighting how the characters’ choices reverberate across generations and reshape their futures.
