Chathur Mukham (2021) Spoiler-Free Summary – What It's About

In the bustling streets of Thiruvananthapuram, a world where tradition and technology intersect, Thejaswini thrives as a driven entrepreneur. A social‑media enthusiast who runs a CCTV solutions business, she balances a modern, ambitious outlook with the expectations of her middle‑class family. When a routine mishap renders her smartphone useless, she is drawn to an unusually cheap, feature‑rich device that promises a quick fix—an impulse purchase that soon feels anything but ordinary.

The new phone arrives wrapped in mystery, its sleek design and unexpected gifts hinting at something beyond the everyday. As Thejaswini integrates the device into her life, subtle distortions begin to ripple through her work, relationships, and even her sense of self. The unsettling presence of an unseen force seems to be tethered to the technology, whispering a silent countdown that threatens to upend her carefully constructed world.

Desperate for answers, she turns to Antony, a curious young man who believes that science might hold the key to the inexplicable. Together they seek the counsel of Clement, a retired professor whose lifelong fascination with scientific inquiry provides both wisdom and a skeptical eye. The trio’s collaboration blends practical ingenuity with an openness to ideas that lie outside conventional academia, setting the stage for a tense exploration of how modern gadgets can become conduits for forces that defy logic.

The film weaves a moody, atmospheric tone—part tech‑thriller, part supernatural suspense—while grounding the story in the vibrant, everyday life of Kerala. As the characters navigate an escalating sense of urgency, the audience is left to wonder how far the boundaries of invention can be pushed before they begin to unravel, and whether curiosity and courage can illuminate a path through the darkness that now shadows Thejaswini’s world.
