Charminar

The film opens with a press meet announcing the launch of Charminar. Chandru states that the film is based on a true story and begins to narrate the tale that follows.

A group of childhood friends decide to hold a class reunion for their old schoolmates. They reach out to several classmates, including Mohana, who is working in the US, inviting him to return.

Mohana accepts the invitation and flies back to India for the reunion. On the flight, he reflects on his friends and, more intimately, his school-day love life.

In his village, Mohana is a mischievous boy who initially plans to fail in school to take up farming with his father. He ultimately stays in school, showing his path toward education.

Radha transfers into Mohana's class, and he falls for her. The two form a close friendship, and Mohana's feelings begin to deepen into love.

Mohana writes a love letter to Radha, which Radha's mother discovers. The principal tells Mohana to hide in a closet and asks Radha about love, warning that studies must come first.

Mohana and Radha drift apart after their early romance, but later rekindle their friendship when they both go to college in Bangalore. Radha gives Mohana a book to help with internal exams as a gift.

Radha abruptly ends her studies because her mother falls ill, informing Mohana just before leaving. She promises to return, but she never does.

Mohana lands a good job and rises to CEO of the company's American branch, earning his first salary. He returns to his village to gift his parents and then goes to Radha's house, only to find it locked.

The next day, Mohana visits Radha with the intention of confessing his love, but Radha's mother urges him to leave, arguing that her daughter is fatherless and marrying Mohana would bring ill-luck. Reluctantly, Mohana agrees and heads to America.

In the present, the school reunion unfolds with Radha nowhere to be seen. Mohana delivers a heartfelt speech, thanking the teachers and silently honoring Radha.

Later, Mohana visits Radha and learns that Radha's mother had died and Radha lost her left leg in a car crash while heading to the hospital. The tragedy becomes a turning point as Mohana vows to support Radha and express his love.

The flashback ends as Chandru states that Radha and Mohana have arrived at the press meet, and the film closes after photographs with the cast and crew with the title clap.
