In 1942, the jungle front of the war between the Allies and the Japanese stretches across the harsh terrain of Singapore. A Flight Lieutenant in the Royal Australian Air Force, Jim, wakes to a violent, disorienting reality: he is suspended from a tree by his parachute, having been shot down.
