In this harsh frontier, the city’s youth hustle to trade for supplies and shelter.

Hibiki isolates himself due to the intensity of noise and sensory input, making meaningful connections difficult. His parkour skill makes him valuable, yet his distance creates emotional barriers. This tension shapes how he interacts with allies and challenges as events unfold.

Guided by a woman's song he hears in his head and a vision of a boy, Hibiki attempts to climb the Tokyo Tower. He ascends partway but loses his grip and falls into the ocean, narrowly escaping the deadly bubbles. The moment marks a turning point, connecting him to something beyond the visible city.

As Hibiki sinks, his final exhale blends with the surrounding bubbles and coalesces into a young girl. She is new to being human and quickly learns from others, adopting the name Uta because she knows the song in Hibiki’s head. Hibiki naming her seals their bond and begins their shared journey.

Uta trains with Hibiki, learning how humans move and think as they practice parkour together. She rapidly adapts to the new world and their fragile reality, building trust between them. Their partnership grows into a determination to survive and challenge the dangers of Tokyo.
