The owner of the casino, desperate for help, turned to Alex, pleading with him to recover the stolen items that belonged to the notorious mob boss, Duvalier.
After successfully retrieving the package, Alex is graciously invited to a lavish dinner party hosted by Duvalier as a gesture of thanks. It is during this opulent soirée that he encounters the Beast, Duvalier's top fighter, who tries to persuade him to enter the upcoming Kumite. Alex, however, stands firm against the pressures from Duvalier, which incites the wrath of his former mentor when Master Sun is horrifically murdered.
In his quest for guidance and strength during such dark times, Alex seeks out Leung, an individual from his past who can reveal the hidden secrets of the Iron Hand technique. Leung directs him to Makato "the Judge", the revered brother of Sun, who has an extensive understanding of this ancient art.
