Blair Witch

The film begins with a chilling disclaimer about the recovered footage discovered in the Black Hills Forest in Maryland on May 25, 2014. This introduction sets a foreboding tone for the events that are about to unfold.

James Donahue is seen in frantic handheld footage as he rushes through a dark house, seemingly spotting a figure that resembles his missing sister, Heather. The urgency and panic convey his desperate search for answers regarding her disappearance.

James's friend, Lisa Arlington, is working on a documentary that explores the Blair Witch legend while searching for Heather. She enlists their friends Peter and Ashley to join in this emotional and fearful journey to uncover the truth.

The group travels to Maryland, where they spend the night in a hotel before entering the ominous woods. Excitement mixes with unease as they prepare for their investigation, building suspense for the dangers that lie ahead.

In the woods, the group meets Lane and Talia, who claim they found the original footage made by Heather and her friends. Despite Peter's apprehension toward Lane’s unsettling demeanor, they agree to let the couple join their expedition.

As they settle in the forest, Lane shares unsettling tales about the Blair Witch, causing nervous laughter and doubt among the group. The tension begins to escalate as they venture barefoot through a creek, leading to Ashley's injury.

During the night, James is alarmed by unsettling noises echoing through the darkness. As they search for Lane, they find him looking disoriented, heightening the sense of panic among the group.

The next morning, the group is horrified to discover stick figures hanging from the trees, along with the realization that they've overslept until 2:00 PM. Tensions rise as accusations are flung at Lane and Talia about the figures' origins.

Lane confesses that he lied about his knowledge of the area, leading to the group’s frustration. Dismissed by James's friends, Lane and Talia leave, while James clings to hope regarding Heather's fate.

That night, Lisa attempts to use her drone to scout escape routes, but the drone gets stuck in a tree. Ashley's injury worsens, forcing the group to confront another night in the haunted woods filled with escalating dread.

As Peter investigates strange noises during the night, his flashlight fails, increasing his panic. Tragically, he meets a fatal end when a tree falls on him and he is dragged away by an unseen force, leaving the group in shock.

James and Lisa encounter Lane and Talia after what feels like five days. Confused and terrified, they reluctantly decide to let Lane and Talia stay with them, despite their mixed feelings about the pair.

The next day, the group wakes to find more stick figures hanging in the trees, and alarming rock formations on the ground. Tensions explode when Ashley accuses Talia of placing the figures, resulting in a shocking confrontation.

While alone, Ashley discovers the drone camera lodged in a tree. Attempting to retrieve it, she is violently knocked down and abducted, leaving the group in terror and despair over her sudden disappearance.

James and Lisa rush to the sounds of Ashley's screams during a sudden downpour. They find a structure that resembles one in James's footage, leading to a horrifying revelation of the Blair Witch's true nature as they face terrifying forces within.
