Black Rock

Longtime girlfriends Sarah and Lou prepare for a much-anticipated island camping holiday. Unknown to Lou, Sarah has planned a reunion with estranged friend Abby, hoping to mend the friendship between the two women.

In a bid to secure the trip, Sarah pretends to have terminal cancer, using this ruse to convince both Lou and Abby to agree to spend the weekend together. Once they consent to join her, Sarah reveals that her claim was just a joke.

The girls set off on a small boat to the island of Black Rock, excited about their adventure. Sarah gifts each of them a 'Goonies' map that they created as children, which leads them to an abandoned cabin.

While hiking, Abby and Lou get into an argument, during which past transgressions come to light. It is revealed that Lou slept with Abby's boyfriend while both were drunk, though Abby has since moved on and married another man.

As the sun sets, the women encounter three hunters, including Henry Wallace, who has connections to their past. They gather around a campfire, sharing stories and bonding, unaware of the impending chaos.

While intoxicated, Abby begins flirting with Henry, leading them into the woods where they share a kiss. However, the situation turns dark when Abby feels uncomfortable, and in an ensuing struggle, she accidentally kills Henry in self-defense.

Following Abby's scream, the other women discover Henry's lifeless body, prompting a distraught Derek to threaten them with a gun. In a panic, the girls attempt to flee but are captured by Derek and Alex.

The next morning, Abby, Sarah, and Lou wake up tied up, caught in a heated argument between their captors about their fate. Seizing an opportunity, Derek unties Abby, aiming to fight her, which allows the girls to attempt escape.

After a frantic chase through the woods, the girls manage to regroup at the abandoned cabin mentioned in the map. They ponder their next steps while waiting for darkness to fall.

In the dark of night, the girls attempt to reach the men's boat but find it cut adrift from shore. Deciding to swim out to it, tragedy strikes when Sarah hesitates and is shot by Derek as she returns to the land.

After Sarah's death, Abby and Lou regroup on the shore and work to keep warm by removing their wet clothes. They discover a time capsule from their childhood containing a pocketknife, which sparks a moment of reconciliation between the two.

The following day, Abby and Lou don dry clothes and prepare to confront the men. As Abby sneaks up on Alex, a struggle ensues, resulting in Abby retrieving the gun and shooting him.

The tension reaches a peak when Derek attempts to shoot Lou, but Abby intervenes. In a chaotic struggle, Lou is stabbed by Derek, but manages to recover and fatally wound him, signaling their survival against the odds.

Injured but determined, Abby and Lou take the men's boat and head back to land. They are left to contemplate the harrowing events of the weekend and the strength of their friendship.
