Best friends Becky and Hunter embark on an adventurous climb, accompanied by Becky's husband, Dan. Tragically, Dan loses his footing and falls to his death during their ascent. Their attempts to contact the outside world are thwarted by radio interference. In a desperate move, Hunter attempts to send a message for help by dropping her phone in a shoe, but it meets a tragic end upon hitting the ground.

As night falls, the duo spots two men camping in an RV close by. They fire off a flare gun found in an emergency box, only for the men to notice and then steal Hunter’s vehicle, leaving them completely helpless. During the long, harrowing night, Becky learns of a tattoo on Hunter's ankle—"1-4-3"—a code that Dan once used to express his love for her.
