Years later, Caroline Edh has transformed into a soldier, ready to face the harsh realities of war. Her journey begins as she boards a train, prepared for her mission, showcasing her resilience and determination.

Upon her arrival at the military base, Edh meets Lieutenant Nylund, who is responsible for guiding her through the dangerous terrain. Their journey takes a treacherous turn when Nylund abandons Edh in a hostile area, forcing her to fight her way back to safety.

At the military base, Edh attends a crucial briefing led by Colonel Raad. She meets fellow operatives Granvik, Karimi, Malik, and Captain Forsberg, as they discuss the dangerous operation ahead—*Operation Black Crab*.

During the briefing, Edh learns that her daughter Vanja has been spotted in a refugee camp near their mission's destination. This revelation reignites Edh's fierce determination to complete the mission and rescue her daughter.

As the team sets off on skates to navigate the icy archipelago, disaster strikes when Captain Forsberg falls through thin ice while carrying crucial packages. Despite Edh’s brave attempt to save her, she ultimately must abandon Forsberg to save herself.

Finding refuge in an abandoned house, tensions escalate among the team when Edh confronts Nylund about his leadership after the loss of Forsberg. Their differing views on survival and accountability threaten the unity of the group.

As trust within the group begins to crumble, they suspect Karimi of betrayal. Despite his claims of loyalty, the team's paranoia escalates, highlighting the strain of survival under extreme conditions.

After a deadly encounter with enemy forces on a different island, the stakes become higher as Karimi loses his life. His death signifies the brutal reality of their mission and the personal toll of their relentless struggle.

Malik reveals the severity of his wound, ultimately choosing to end his own life rather than risk endangering the mission. His tragic decision underscores the despair and dire choices faced by the remaining team members.
