Batman: Hush

Batman is engaged in a mission to rescue a boy who has been kidnapped by Killer Croc. During the rescue, Catwoman steals the ransom money intended for the boy, initiating a series of events. Batman pursues Catwoman through Gotham City, but his grapple gets cut, leading to a fall and a skull fracture.

Batman is found nearly killed after his fall and is rescued by Huntress. He is taken to Dr. Thomas Elliot, a renowned brain surgeon, who removes the fragments of his fractured skull. This marks the beginning of Batman’s recovery and new revelations about his enemies.

Batman learns that Poison Ivy manipulated Catwoman to steal the ransom money, only to use it herself. Ivy’s use of mind-control powers on Catwoman angers her, leading to her fury upon discovering Ivy’s deception. Batman then rescues Catwoman, deepening their complex relationship.

Poison Ivy takes control of Superman in Metropolis and orders him to kill Batman. Despite the control, Superman subconsciously resists Ivy’s influence, holding back from executing her commands. Batman uses various weapons to fend off Superman's attacks, leading to a dramatic confrontation.

Superman breaks free from Ivy’s mind-control to save Lois Lane, who is falling from the Daily Planet building. Batman and Superman team up to capture Ivy after her attempt to defeat them, ending her immediate threat. This alliance signifies a rare moment of cooperation between the heroes.

In Gotham, Harley Quinn attempts to rob a crowd during a theater performance of Pagliacci. During the chaos, Dr. Elliot is seemingly shot dead by the Joker. Batman, fueled by rage, beats the Joker severely, trying to kill him before Jim Gordon intervenes, superficially wounding Batman to stop his rampage.

Nightwing returns to Gotham for Elliot’s funeral and discusses his suspicions about a mastermind orchestrating chaos among Batman’s enemies. Evidence points towards a mysterious figure known as Hush, who appears to be behind the plot and is manipulating events from the shadows.

Batman uncovers evidence linking Ra's al Ghul to the conspiracy when he captures Talia al Ghul and seeks out her father. Ra's reveals a connection to a Lazarus Pit used by someone from Bruce Wayne’s past, indicating a deep and personal threat tied to Bruce’s history.

Batman finds Robin, Tim Drake, captured by Jason Todd, who has been resurrected or mimicked by Clayface. During the chaos, Batman discovers a device planted in his computer. Harold, his mechanic, is killed before revealing that Thomas Elliot is the trigger-man and mastermind behind the plot.

Thomas Elliot, motivated by a grudge against Bruce Wayne's family due to his mother's past, sabotages his own vehicle and falls into water after a confrontation. Batman suspects Elliot’s involvement, but his body is never recovered, leaving his fate uncertain.

The true mastermind is revealed to be the Riddler, who used a Lazarus Pit to cure himself of brain cancer. He had collaborated with Elliot, referring to the scheme as 'Hush.' The Riddler knew Batman’s secret identity and threatened to expose him if his plans were revealed.

Despite discovering Clayface mimicking Jason Todd, Batman notices that Jason's body is missing from his grave. This suggests Jason may still be alive or that his remains were hidden, adding to Batman’s concerns about unresolved threats and his failures to save him.

Batman and Catwoman meet again, with Batman’s mistrust still evident. Catwoman tries to comfort Batman, inadvertently telling him to 'hush' just before attempting to kiss him. Their interaction hints at potential for trust but also unresolved tension between them.
