Nikhil returns from the US to Mumbai and heads to a local nightclub to unwind. Inside, he spots a mysterious woman who doesn’t introduce herself, and he tries to strike up a conversation. When he asks for her name, she disappears into the crowd, leaving him intrigued.

The next day, Nikhil reconnects with his old friend Rahul. They play basketball and hang out, catching up on life. The gathering is joined by Anamika Joshi, who arrives with her friend Farhad.

Anamika's arrival with Farhad stirs tension when Farhad misreads Nikhil’s interest as flirting. The group gets drawn into a heated argument that quickly escalates into a fight. Rahul and Steve try to intervene as tempers flare.

In the scuffle, Farhad draws a gun and Nikhil wrestles it away, aiming to defend himself. A shot goes off, hitting Rahul in the back and leaving him paralysed. Steve struggles to calm the chaos as the others react in shock.

Farhad flees the scene and leaves the country for Australia, while Anamika vanishes. Police arrive and arrest Nikhil for Rahul’s shooting. The group reels from the sudden violence and the gravity of Rahul’s injury.

Nikhil sits in a police cell with no way to contact Anamika and finds Rahul refuses to speak with him. The investigation drags on and Nikhil remains imprisoned for the shooting. He waits for contact or exoneration that never comes.

Three years after the arrest, Ira Malhotra hears Nikhil’s side of the story and helps bail him out. The bail marks a fresh start as he returns to the city with a chance to clear his name. He begins reconnecting with the people around him.

After his release, Nikhil meets Rahul and Anamika again and discovers he was lured into a trap by someone still at large. The rekindled interactions hint at deeper conspiracies behind the earlier shooting. He resolves to uncover the truth.

It is revealed that Ira and Rahul were having an affair and Steve learned of it. On that night at the party, Steve manipulates events by pressing the trigger while Nikhil’s hand holds the gun, making it appear that Nikhil was responsible. The plan is meant to teach Rahul a harsh lesson but spirals out of control.

Ira had known the truth all along, which is why she helped Nikhil get bailed out. She tries to leave Steve and seeks refuge with Nikhil, hoping to escape his wrath. The tension culminates in a dangerous confrontation.

In a violent confrontation, Steve shoots Nikhil in the stomach, fatally wounding him. Ira, consumed by guilt, shoots herself. Devastated, Steve then kills himself by shooting a bullet into his own head.

Anamika and Rahul rush to Nikhil’s house as he lies dying in Anamika’s lap. In the quiet final moment, Nikhil succumbs, and the two stand together, looking toward the sunset in silence. The film closes on their solemn, unresolved stillness.
