Barsaat

A naive but intelligent village youth Badal leaves his home and comes to the big city to study. Damru, who calls himself Danny, introduces him to city life and college culture. He begins navigating new friendships, classes, and the temptations of urban life.

On campus, Badal meets Tina Oberoi, a pretty and precocious student. After some misunderstandings and misadventures, their relationship grows into love. The bond faces social and financial differences because of Tina's wealth.

Tina's wealthy widower step-father, Dinesh Oberoi, disapproves of the romance and plots to control Tina's future to safeguard her wealth. He waits for Tina to turn eighteen to assert his influence. This sets up the central conflict for the rest of the film.

Dinesh's friend schemes to have his own son marry Tina to gain the wealth. The plan highlights the greed surrounding Tina and foreshadows the clash between love and money. The threat becomes personal for Badal.

A report is lodged with the college principal accusing Badal of sexually harassing a girl. Tina testifies in Badal's favor, insisting he is innocent. This moment deepens Dinesh's vendetta and escalates the conflict.

Dinesh seeks help from Negi, the corrupt assistant commissioner of police. Negi agrees to help remove Badal from Tina's life. The alliance marks a dark turn toward legal and violent pursuit.

Negi arrests Badal on trumped-up charges and imprisons him. The college community is shocked as Tina remains loyal to Badal. Badal's future hangs in the balance as legal troubles mount.

Badal's widowed father Bhairon travels to the city trying to understand why his son is imprisoned. He confronts the bureaucratic maze of city authority and worries for his family. The family bond becomes a central emotional thread.

Dinesh pressures Negi to kill Badal and Negi hires a ruthless gang to hunt him down. The plan escalates the danger Badal and Tina face.

Badal and Tina flee to Badal's village to hide from Negi's men. Negi reaches the village and threatens the villagers. To save the villagers, Badal deceives Tina with sleeping pills and surrenders to Negi.

Tina wakes up in the custody of her stepfather, who tries to poison her, but a friend reveals the true motive. He never intended Tina to marry Badal. She realizes the conspiracy and escapes by car.

Badal and Negi confront each other on a hill; Badal defeats Negi and saves Tina from Dinesh's threats. Tina pleads with Badal not to kill Dinesh, whom she still considers a father figure.

Negi, though presumed dead, returns for a final attempt to kill Badal. Dinesh protects Badal during the fight, and Negi is killed by Bhairon and two others. Dinesh sustains fatal injuries while protecting Badal.

With Dinesh dying, Tina and Badal finally unite. Dinesh apologizes for his deeds and approves their marriage before dying. The story ends on a note of reconciliation and love.
