Barnyard

Otis is a carefree Holstein cow living on a farm alongside his anthropomorphic animal friends. He prefers having fun with his pals, Pip, Freddy, Peck, and Pig, rather than adhering to rules and responsibilities.

Otis interrupts a morning roll call meeting, much to the annoyance of his adoptive father, Ben. Ben cautions Otis that his antics will hinder his chance for true happiness unless he matures and accepts his responsibilities.

On the same day, Otis meets Daisy, a widowed pregnant cow who has just moved to the farm with her friend Bessy. This encounter sparks a romantic interest in Otis as he tries to win her over.

That night, the animals throw a wild party in the barn while Otis and Ben are supposed to be guarding the fence. Otis persuades Ben to join in, which leads to a bonding moment, reminiscing about the day Otis was found.

Shortly after the party, Ben is attacked by a pack of coyotes led by Dag. He bravely defends the farm but suffers fatal injuries, leading Otis to run outside and witness his father's tragic death.

The next morning, the farmer buries Ben, and the other animals gather to mourn at his grave. This moment solidifies Otis's new role as the leader of the animal community.

Otis is elected leader by the other animals but quickly shirks his responsibilities, leaving Freddy and Peck in charge of the coop. His carefree nature continues to shine through as he plans revenge on a bully named 'Snotty Boy'.

Later on, Otis shares a heartfelt moment with Daisy. During their conversation, she reveals that she and Bessy are the only survivors of their herd after a disastrous flood.

After witnessing a rabbit being chased by the coyotes, Otis decides to confront them. However, Dag recognizes him as Ben's son and taunts him, deepening Otis's internal conflict about leadership.

Dag proposes a sinister deal that threatens the safety of the farm animals, forcing Otis to weigh his choices. Faced with impossible odds, he makes the tough decision to leave the farm and seek a new life.

Before leaving, Otis learns that the coyotes have kidnapped several hens, including Maddy, the chick who looks up to him. Ignoring his plans to leave, he rushes to rescue them from the coyotes' junkyard den.

During the confrontation with Dag, Otis gains the upper hand but is momentarily caught off guard. Fortunately, his barnyard friends arrive to aid him, showcasing the strength of their unity.

With teamwork, Otis thwarts Dag's attack and sends him fleeing, warning him never to return. This victory marks a turning point for Otis as he embraces his role as protector.

On their way back, Pip informs Otis that Daisy has gone into labor. The animals rush back to the farm, stealing motorcycles from a biker gang to make it in time.

Otis and the other animals arrive just in time to welcome Daisy's new calf, whom she names 'Li'l Ben'. Watching the stars dance in the night sky, Otis finally embraces his responsibilities as a leader.
