Atlantis: The Lost Empire

In 6800 BC, a catastrophic explosion occurs, resulting in a megatsunami that devastates the ancient city of Atlantis. This calamitous event forces the people of Atlantis to seek refuge from the raging waves as their city is submerged forever.

In a desperate attempt to protect her people from the incoming disaster, the Queen merges with a floating crystal. This act creates an impenetrable dome over the city's core, effectively shielding it as the rest of Atlantis falls to the ocean depths.

The Queen's selfless act leaves her husband, the King, heartbroken and alone with their courageous daughter, Princess Kida. Together, they must face the aftermath of a lost civilization while holding onto the hope of their queen's legacy.

Fast forward to 1914, where passionate linguist Milo Thatch seeks funding at the Smithsonian Institution for an expedition to uncover the lost city of Atlantis. His encounter with millionaire Preston B. Whitmore reignites his hopes for discovery.

Encouraged by Whitmore, Milo joins an expedition led by Commander Rourke. The diverse team includes individuals with unique skills such as Vinny the demolition expert, Mole the geologist, and Audrey the mechanic, all eager for adventure.

As the expedition aboard the submarine Ulysses ventures deeper, they encounter a menacing mechanical leviathan guarding Atlantis's entrance. This monstrous creature attacks, resulting in a catastrophic incident that takes the lives of many crew members.

Following the guide of the Shepherd's Journal, the remaining members of the expedition navigate through a dormant volcano and arrive in the breathtaking city of Atlantis. They are welcomed by the spirited Princess Kida, who is eager to reclaim her city's lost history.

Disregarding her father's warnings, Princess Kida approaches Milo for assistance in uncovering the history of Atlantis, which has been deteriorating for centuries. Together, they embark on a journey to understand the significance of the Heart of Atlantis.

As Milo delves deeper, he discovers that Rourke has ulterior motives centered around hijacking the Heart of Atlantis, which provides life and sustenance to the city. The stakes are raised when the Heart merges with Kida, complicating their struggle.

In a shocking turn of events, Rourke injures the King and restrains Kida's freedom. Before his final moments, the King shares important knowledge with Milo about the Heart's choice of a royal host, urging him to act quickly to save Atlantis and Kida.

Milo and his team inspire the Atlantean people to reactivate their ancient flying machines in an effort to confront Rourke and save their city. This moment marks the beginning of their battle against the mercenaries that threaten their existence.

In a fierce confrontation driven by Rourke's ambition, Helga attempts to thwart him but meets a tragic end. Her demise is a pivotal moment in the chaotic struggle over the Heart of Atlantis, showcasing the cost of loyalty and ambition.

In a final showdown, Milo unleashes a powerful shard of the crystal, transforming Rourke into a crystalline statue. This climactic battle aboard a flaming airship leads to Rourke's obliteration, but not before igniting a volcanic eruption.

As the heroes flee the erupting volcano, Kida, still intertwined with the Heart, ascends into the sky. The ancient Stone Guardians rise in response to her call, lifting the submerged parts of Atlantis from the depths, saving the city from destruction.

With the danger subsiding, the crystal miraculously restores Kida to life. Milo chooses to remain in Atlantis, having fallen in love with Kida, while the expedition team returns to the surface, vowing to keep the secrets of their adventure alive.
