Armed and Dangerous

Officer Frank Dooley, a long-serving member of the LAPD, is wrongfully accused of stealing a television set. In a twist of fate, the very detectives he caught in the act of robbery frame him for the crime, leading to his dismissal from the police force.

In a tense courtroom scene, nervous defense attorney Norman Kane defends a dangerous cult leader, Lawrence Lupik, who threatens him with death if he doesn't win the case. Faced with this intense pressure, the judge advises Kane to find a less demanding job to avoid further stress.

After their misfortunes in their previous roles, Frank Dooley and Norman Kane apply for jobs at Guard Dog Security. They meet their gruff boss, Clarence O'Connell, and are appointed partners after a quick and inadequate training session.

On their first night at work, Dooley and Kane are ordered to take a lunch break by senior guard Bruno. While they comply, an armed robbery occurs at the warehouse, and they are helpless against the thieves, who turn out to be their corrupt union associates.

After failing to apprehend the robbers, Dooley and Kane receive a $100 fine from O'Connell, leaving them frustrated and suspicious about their employers. Their anger intensifies when they learn that O'Connell is actually Maggie's father.

Dooley and Kane attend a union meeting with hopes of getting their fine revoked but face hostility from union president Michael Carlino. Kane directly questions the use of union dues, leading to a physical threat from Carlino himself.

After hearing about a previous robbery incident, Dooley and Kane uncover that their recent assignments were retaliatory because of Kane’s comments at the union meeting. They interrogate Bruno, who reveals he was instructed to vacate the warehouse.

The duo visits Cappy, a retired thief, to gather intel on union corruption. They learn about the depths of Carlino's illegal dealings but struggle to convince Maggie without any concrete evidence.

In a bold move, Dooley and Kane crash a formal dinner party hosted by Carlino to gather evidence. Disguised in tuxedos, they overhear plans involving the union's pension funds being misused to fund a robbery.

After uncovering Carlino's plot, Dooley and Kane discover that union treasurer Brackman is in danger and attempt to save him. Unfortunately, they are too late, as Brackman is murdered, and they find themselves framed for the crime.

With Carlino’s henchmen on their trail, Dooley and Kane flee from the crime scene, leading to a wild chase across Hollywood Hills. They narrowly escape and disguise themselves to evade law enforcement’s pursuit.

Meeting with Maggie, the duo shares their findings about the impending armored car theft orchestrated by Carlino. They devise a plan, assigning themselves different roles to thwart the robbery.

On their way to stop the robbery, Dooley faces mechanical issues with his motorcycle. He hitches a ride with a reckless trucker dubbed 'Cowboy', who navigates through traffic with wild abandon.

Dooley arrives just in time to prevent the robbery, using a powerful illegal handgun to fend off the attackers. With Cowboy's help, they manage to stop the assault from Carlino's henchmen.

In the aftermath, O'Connell turns on Carlino and apprehends him and the corrupt detectives who framed Dooley. The police chief reinstates Dooley to the force as a detective, while Kane considers returning to a safer legal career.
