Sethupathi's crackdown on four powerful criminals ends in tragedy as they escape justice and vow revenge. One night they ambush and kill Sethupathi, then poison his pregnant wife Kaveri. Kaveri survives the attack and flees, beginning a desperate struggle to protect her unborn children.

Kaveri gives birth to twins with the help of Muniyamma. The twins are separated, each mother believing the other is dead. Raja grows up with Muniyamma while Appu spends his childhood in a circus with his mother.

Raja grows up as a mechanic under Muniyamma's care, mastering skilled work in a humble setting. Appu, a dwarf, grows up in the circus with his mother, facing the challenges of his height and a life on the road.

Appu falls in love with Mano, misreading her intentions and believing she wants to elope. She only asks him to witness her marriage to Vincent, which leaves him heartbroken. His mother hints that his dwarfism may trace back to the poison used on Kaveri, and, after learning about his father's murder, Appu vows to avenge him.

Raja falls in love with Janaki, who happens to be Satyamoorthy's daughter. Because Raja resembles Sethupathi, Satyamoorthy and his accomplices grow wary of him and keep him under scrutiny.

Appu lures Francis to an abandoned building and uses a Rube Goldberg mechanism to kill him. Francis's corpse falls into a hay-covered lorry, and Raja and Janaki unknowingly hitch a ride in the same vehicle. The lorry driver discovers the body and calls the police.

Appu kills Nallasivam on a golf course using a tiger from his circus. A caddie glimpses Appu's face, and the tiger's tail is spotted from afar, drawing the inspector's attention back to Raja. The murder heightens the police scrutiny on the twin's lookalike.

Raja is cleared when postmortems reveal real tiger wounds, but during a festival he is seen in a tiger costume, which unsettles Janaki and leads to a breakup. The public spectacle compounds the misbelief that Raja is the killer.

Raja goes to Janaki's house to reconcile, while the inspector covertly follows. The investigation remains unsettled as rumors about the killer continue to swirl around him. The couple's hopes for a quiet reunion are overshadowed by looming danger.

Appu tricks Satyamoorthy into killing himself with a circus handgun that shoots backwards. Appu escapes, and Raja and Janaki arrive to find Satyamoorthy dead, deepening the mystery surrounding the murders.

In a crowded market, Raja grabs a woman hostage and threatens to kill her, not realizing that the woman is actually his mother, Kaveri. After the crowd backs down, Raja releases Kaveri and flees, stunned by the startling discovery.

Kaveri and Muniyamma piece together that Appu is behind the killings and that Raja is Kaveri's other son. They begin to confront the truth, realizing that the brothers are connected in ways they never suspected.

Dharmaraj kidnaps Muniyamma and Kaveri, using the threat to extract Raja's surrender. Appu escapes, joins Raja, and they head to the circus to rescue the women held captive by Dharmaraj and his henchmen.

In the climactic battle at the circus, Appu and Raja overpower Dharmaraj's henchmen and finally eliminate him by lion attack. Appu surrenders to the police, and Raja and Janaki are reunited, bringing closure to the intertwined fates of the brothers and their loves.
